Through our exploration of aesthetic techniques and business ideas, we have connected with passionate artisans in the Tulsa Community. Join us for workshops and demos by local designers, creators and makers who are excited to share their craft with you. Our Sparrows will also share the honed methodologies and many inspirations that have led to their development of the Gilded Sparrows product lines. We look forward to learning with you!
In addition to creating their own products for purchase, Gilded Sparrows also create beautiful Suminagashi (a Japanese art form using paper and ink) and Kokedamas. These products can be special ordered and cusomized to your taste. For more information please contact us!
Suminagashi or "floating ink" is the Japanese art of marbling plain paper with water and ink to transform it into something original and unqiue. The paper can be used as wrapping paper, cards, notebooks. They can also be framed to add flare to any room!
The art of Kokedama literally translates from “koke” meaning moss and “dama” meaning ball. This moss ball has experienced a resurgence as a modern art form useful for uniquely presented plants and flowers. A Kokedama makes a personalized gift or simply an interesting accent for a favorite plant specimen.
